Avontus is looking for a Software Sales Development Representative

We are looking for a new addition to our US sales team. Position is remote or based in our Spring, TX office. Know anyone with scaffolding sales experience who would be a great fit? Please encourage them to submit their resume and cover letter to careers@avontus.com.

Responsibilities


Reporting to the sales manager, you will:

  • Build business by identifying and selling prospects and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure product fit.
  • Generate new business by researching potential new customers and making outbound calls.
  • Deliver effective, tailored demonstrations of our software solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with clients post-demonstration, providing information as required, while closing sales and, after initial sale, handling additional sales and other follow up.
  • Document all customer transactions and prepare reports by analyzing and summarizing information using our CRM tool.
  • Meet revenue goals.
  • Attend customer-focused events, such as trade shows and conferences.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Create a presence on social media by adding posts and networking with like-minded people from the scaffolding industry.
  • Develop an overall understanding of our software, scaffolding, and the scaffolding industry.

Requirements


  • Experience in the industrial services or scaffold/construction industry
  • Proven work experience as a sales leader
  • Experience selling both remotely and in person
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel, as needed (up to 4-6 weeks per year)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field or proven equivalent experience
  • Experience in the software industry is a plus
