The assistant you already use.
Nothing new to learn.
Avontus doesn’t collect or store your data for AI. Your AI assistant reads each system directly, under the sign-in and permissions you already have, and your IT department stays in control.
Avontus Designer & Viewer
Every model, ready for a question
Any model exported from Avontus Designer and opened in Avontus Viewer becomes something your assistant can read too. Ask for a bill of materials, a weight tally split into truck loads, part counts by elevation, or how two models compare. Your assistant reads the same model your team already sees on screen, so the numbers always match.
“Sort the bill of materials for my pipe rack scaffold by elevation, bottom to top, then split it into 10,000 lb increments for truck loads.”
The pipe rack scaffold is 1,004 parts weighing 24,488.1 lb, across 17 levels. Keeping each level intact and filling to a 10,000 lb limit, bottom to top:

Quantify
Ask: “How much scaffold equipment is deployed across all branches right now?”
What shipped, what’s on rent, what it cost
Quantify already tracks what you own, what is on rent, and what got billed. Through Quantify Web, your AI assistant pulls that same information into a conversation: what is deployed at a branch, what a job actually cost once labor and every other charge is added, what is overdue for return.
ScaffoldIQ
Ask: “Show me the modification history for scaffold SRC-9984.”
Know a scaffold’s history before your next move
Every modification, handover and inspection ScaffoldIQ tracks becomes something your AI assistant can check, whether you’re reusing a design or sending a crew back out to a standing scaffold.
Real companies, real questions
Scaffold companies are already asking their AI assistants about their own models and jobs.
“We’re proud of the design capability we’ve built. Adding AI into the mix is how we keep raising the bar.”

“I can ask my AI questions about my scaffold designs. I’m amazed that I can group parts and materials by elevation. Incredible!”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Getting started

  • Avontus AI Scaffold Connect lets you ask questions about the data in your Avontus apps, in plain language, through the AI assistant you already use. You get answers built from your own models and records, without logging in to each app to piece the information together.

Two parts make it work. Connectors give your assistant secure access to your data, under your own sign-in and permissions. Skills teach your assistant how to do a job well, such as splitting a bill of materials into truck loads or applying your own labor factors to a model’s quantities.

  • No. You add one web address to your AI assistant, then sign in with your existing Avontus Viewer account. Nothing installs on your computer.

  • Open the Avontus AI Scaffold Connect page in the Avontus documentation. The page lists what you need before you start, the two values to enter in Claude, and the steps for each person on your team.

  • No. If you have Avontus software with an active subscription or software assurance, you can connect on your own. If you are not an Avontus customer yet, request a demo and the sales team will show you how it works.

  • On a Claude plan with an organization owner, the owner adds the connector once. Every person then signs in with their own Avontus account. On an individual Claude plan, you add the connector yourself.

Access and cost

  • No. Avontus AI Scaffold Connect comes with your Avontus subscription or software assurance. You need your own account with the AI assistant you choose.

  • You need an Avontus account, the same email and password you already use to sign in to your Avontus Viewer app. You also need an account with your AI assistant. The Avontus documentation covers setup for your AI.

  • Your AI assistant tells you the account needs to be unlocked, rather than showing old figures. Contact Avontus support at support@avontus.com for help with your account.

  • Yes. The owner of a shared model needs an active subscription, not you. If the owner’s subscription has ended, your AI assistant names the owner and suggests contacting them.

  • The connector reads models that you own or that someone has shared with you. If you own none and nobody has shared any, the assistant says so, because nothing exists for the connector to read.

What Avontus AI Scaffold Connect can do

  • You can ask for a bill of materials with quantities and weights, parts by elevation, Scaffold Units such as area, volume, and leg length, and model preview images. You can also ask how two models compare, or how to split a bill of materials into truck loads.

  • Your assistant reports figures in the model’s own units. A model built in metric returns metres and kilograms, and a model built in imperial returns feet and pounds. Ask for any other unit, and the assistant converts it.

  • Yes, with your numbers. Avontus Viewer supplies quantities such as pieces, weight, and volume. You supply the labor units and productivity factors from your own Schedule of Norms or your crews’ recorded actuals. The assistant applies your factors and shows every step. Avontus does not supply labor rates, because no universal scaffold labor standard exists.

  • No. The connector only reads. Build and edit scaffold designs in Avontus Designer, then upload them to Avontus Viewer.

Data and privacy

  • Your assistant can read the models you own, the models shared with you, their bills of materials, their metrics, their preview images, and the Avontus product documentation. Nothing else in your Avontus account is readable through the connector.

  • No. Every tool in the connector is read only. The assistant cannot create, change, or delete anything in your Avontus account.

  • Only you, and the people you already share models with. Each person signs in with their own Avontus account, and the assistant reads only the models that account can already open. An organization owner who adds the connector does not sign anyone in or give anyone access to another person’s models.

  • No. You enter your password on the Avontus sign-in page. The assistant never receives it.

  • No. Your assistant reads each model directly from your Avontus account, under your existing sign-in and permissions. Avontus does not collect or store your data for AI.

  • Your AI provider, such as Anthropic for Claude, handles your conversations under its own terms and privacy settings. Check the privacy settings on your plan to see how long conversations are kept.
