Job Overview

As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that software development adheres to our established quality standards. You will contribute to all phases of the software development cycle, ensuring on-time and effective delivery of scope, user story, and workplace usability. As a user advocate, you will take ownership to ensure our customers have the most valuable software experience possible. We are seeking a dedicated problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Together with our talented development and support staff, you will be part of the team that produces high-quality software working in multicultural and global environments with plenty of opportunity for career growth. Position is remote or in our Ely office.

Responsibilities

  • Create and run manual and automated tests for functional, application, regression, ad-hoc, and integration tests.
  • Track software bugs’ full cycle (finding, triaging, and logging, etc.), from product design through implementation and delivery.
  • Take ownership of product or feature sets to ensure that all expectations, from specification to user experience, are met.
  • Develop, execute, and document effective test strategies.
  • Escalate critical support issues and suggest action.
  • Assist in project planning by delivering testing estimates and velocity.
  • Effectively identify and communicate risks to performance and scalability.
  • Provide Tier II Customer Support, triage issues and organize customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of software testing experience on desktop (Windows) and mobile (iOS, Android).
  • Write and execute manual and automation test scripts.
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Good planning and organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives.
  • Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for communicating testing requirements, cases, and scenarios.
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., XUnit/NUnit/MSTest/PyTest, Postman, Selenium, etc.)

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
