Avontus is now offering free training for this new release. If you haven’t received an invite for a webinar to see what great features are here, please email support@avontus.com and ask for a schedule. A recording will also be available towards the end of the week.
NEW FEATURES
- Pre-return shipment status. This is new status that allows you to create a return from a jobsite, print out reports and labels to attach to the bins, then count the materials at a later time.
- An overall rental discount can now be added to a jobsite. This discount is applied to the total rent on the invoice and synchronizes with a single line item account in QuickBooks.
- There is a new list exclusively for a driver on a shipment, which is displayed in the reports, grid, and pivots.
- Changes to users is now tracked in history and there is a permission for allowing certain roles to see this history.
- You can now prorate an estimate to make it equal a specific amount, similar to how you can prorate a shipment (Note that the global option for prorating shipments must be turned on).
- Adding a blank file named ‘disable’, without an extension, into the install folder will disable update checks and changing connection settings. This disables these two features over application hosting on the login dialog box and on the Help menu.
- The shipment filter now displays text, showing what filter is selected. Additionally, there is a new filter that allow you to limit the shipments displayed by date, such as the last 3 months.
ENHANCEMENTS
- All of the new style reports and pivot print previews now properly resize to A4 or Letter. There is a new global option for controlling this on the reports tab.
- A new permission to control whether a role can view the costs (cost, last, average) in the product catalog, product catalog reports, and pivot.
- Added 3 new custom roles that by default have no permission.
- Estimates now copy the period label and number of days from the rate profile when a rate profile is copied into estimate products.
- Similar to the discount on a job, added a discount to an estimate that applies to the total rent.
- There is a new button on the user assignment dialog box (used when location-based security is on) to select a particular branch and assign that user to all jobs under that branch.
- Improved performance and memory management within the pivots.
BUG FIXES
- Estimate report was inserting an extra page when the number of items on the estimate is a specific count, which has been fixed.
- Fixed a fringe case for the estimate causing a crash when editing a quantity that has a factor associated with it.

We’ve added a How-to video to show you how purchase orders and work orders are created.
Purchase orders and their related work orders need to be created before they can be assigned to Jobs or Scaffold Tags. POs and WOs are created and edited on the Customers tab.

The optional PO/WO Approver and Reviewer are customer employees from the customer account.

Here’s a quick demo video on how purchase orders and their related work orders are created:

It's common to bill for items that you don't track in inventory. These are handled using a generic 'unit price' in Quantify. Examples are freight, charges for PE stamped drawings, 2x4's, 9 wire, etc.
